Figma adds vector AI Warp and Responsive Auto-Layout 2.0

Figma rolled out two major features today: Vector AI Warp, which uses a learned deformation model to suggest natural vector edits, and Responsive Auto-Layout 2.0, an upgraded constraint solver that predicts component behavior for unusual content scenarios. Both features are accessible in the desktop app and collaborate in real-time.

Vector AI Warp is aimed at iconography and simple illustrations, generating multiple deformation suggestions based on a style prompt while preserving topology. Meanwhile, Auto-Layout 2.0 introduces probabilistic layout predictions informed by millions of anonymized UI examples, reducing the need for manual constraint overrides when text or nested elements change size.

The update also includes a new 'design intent' metadata field that helps teams lock down how components should respond to edge cases. Figma says the features are designed to speed iteration for responsive interfaces on mobile, web, and embedded devices.
