Figma and Adobe prototype live tokens bridge for cross-tool design systems
Design · 3 min read
Figma and Adobe announced a pilot for a live tokens bridge that maps tokens between Figma variables and Adobe's design token service. The bridge performs schema normalization so colors, spacing, and type scales maintain consistent names and units across both ecosystems.
When a token changes in one tool, the bridge generates a change-set with suggested mappings and a preview of impacted components in the other tool; teams can accept or edit the mapping before applying it.
The collaboration is intended for organizations that operate mixed-tool chains. Both companies stressed the pilot's early-stage nature and invited design system leads to join the program to shape conflict resolution and migration flows.
