Figma Desktop Gains GPU-Accelerated Rendering and Offline Mode

GPU acceleration reduces redraw times for complex files, making heavy vector art and large page canvases more responsive. Figma optimized the renderer to fall back gracefully on integrated GPUs.
The offline mode caches recent files, supports local edits, and queues sync operations for later resolution. Conflict resolution tools highlight differences and surface a three-way merge to help teams reconcile changes once online.
Figma said these updates respond to enterprise feedback about poor connectivity and large design systems. The company also improved memory usage and added a preference panel for performance tuning.
