Figma introduces Figmotion Pro with generative micro-animations and code export

Figmotion Pro combines timeline editing with generative animation: designers can describe motion in natural language or tweak physics parameters, and the tool synthesizes smooth keyframes that respect layout constraints. The export engine maps motions to platform-native primitives like SwiftUI's Animatable modifiers or CSS motion-timing functions.

The plugin also supports Lottie export with trimmed vector paths and optimized frame sequences for mobile playback. Teams reported that the code export reduced handoff friction and aligned motion between designers and engineers more closely.

Figma plans to iterate on supported runtimes and add more granular performance tuning options for target platforms. Customers in product and marketing teams found the tool especially useful for prototyping micro-interactions and marketing hero animations.
