Figma introduces Vector AI assistant to propose auto-layout and component variants

The Vector AI assistant analyzes selected frames and proposes auto-layout configurations, spacing tokens, and variant sets that match the project's design language. Suggestions appear inline and can be previewed before applying, making the change non-destructive.
Figma trained the assistant to respect component hierarchies and naming conventions, and it can infer responsive breakpoints for different frame sizes. Teams can enable a 'team style guide' mode so suggestions align with shared tokens and constraints.
The assistant runs as a low-latency plugin with opt-in telemetry for improvement feedback. Figma positioned the feature as a way to reduce mechanical work for designers so they can focus on higher-level problem solving.
