Figma Releases AI-Powered Layout Suggestions and Component Autotune

The AI Layout Suggestions inspect frames and propose responsive arrangements, spacing, and alignment tuned to a project's existing styles. Designers can accept suggestions, preview variants, and apply them across pages.

Component Autotune analyzes nested components and overrides, then offers bulk fixes to bring instances back into compliance with the master component—fixes include spacing, typography scales, and responsive behaviors.

Figma described the features as assistive rather than prescriptive: suggestions appear in a contextual panel and developers can see the diff before applying. The company also opened a plugin API so teams can plug their own heuristics into the assistant.
