Figma's new 'Component Studio' uses on-device models to suggest scalable variants

Component Studio lives inside Figma and uses lightweight neural models to suggest variants—size, density, iconography swaps—based on a selected master component and contextual frames.

By running models locally in the client, Figma reduces round trips and addresses enterprise data concerns. Designers can preview dozens of variants with one click and lock accepted changes back into the design system.

The feature also suggests accessible color contrasts and aria attributes, tying design decisions to developer handoff files and reducing rework during implementation.
