FlowBoard raises $18M to expand collaborative whiteboard with live components

FlowBoard's funding will accelerate the rollout of live components—sheets and UI elements that can connect to APIs, spreadsheets, and design tokens. The startup envisions whiteboards doubling as executable prototypes: drag a live chart onto a board and attach real product metrics for stakeholder reviews.
The company highlighted security features: scoped API connectors, per-widget permissions, and audit logs for changes. FlowBoard's team said the aim is to replace disjointed artifacts (slides, static boards, and sample data) with a single live canvas.
Design teams appreciated the concept for stakeholder demos and user-testing scenarios, noting that the platform still needs improvements on performance for large boards and richer offline support. FlowBoard plans to ship enterprise SSO and a developer SDK later this year.
