FlowState raises $28M Series A for motion UI toolkit
Design · 4 min read
FlowState's toolkit analyzes component hierarchies and generates animation primitives that are both designer-friendly and developer-ready. The $28 million Series A was led by DesignFoundry and will expand product engineering, add enterprise features, and deepen integrations with prototyping tools.
Key capabilities include automatic physics-based easing extraction, state-driven transition graphs, and export to production frameworks with performance optimizations like compositor-only transforms and requestAnimationFrame batching. FlowState also provides a visual editor and a runtime library that minimizes bundle size.
Design teams using FlowState reported fewer mismatches between prototypes and shipped interactions and reduced iteration cycles on micro-interaction polish. The company plans a plugin for popular design suites and a SaaS tier for design system governance over the next two quarters.
