FluxVR debuts Flux Home: a room-scale headset competing on price and comfort

FluxVR unveiled Flux Home, a tetherless room-scale headset offering 2160x2160 per-eye OLED panels, a 110-degree field of view, and a novel strap design that redistributes weight to the back of the skull. The device targets consumers who want immersive VR without premium cost and ties to an existing gaming ecosystem.

The company claims aggressive pricing achieved through a partnership with ODM manufacturers and a proprietary thermal management module that reduces the need for heavy cooling hardware. Flux Home ships with inside-out tracking and a library of optimized titles from independent studios.

Alongside the hardware debut, FluxVR announced a $25 million financing extension from existing investor Studio Seed to scale production and fund exclusive content partnerships. The company expects to begin shipments in Q4 2026 and will run an open SDK for developers to target edge performance optimizations.
