ForgeArc Launches Cross-Play Matchmaking Service with Latency-Aware Pools

ForgeArc’s matchmaking platform uses a hybrid approach — regional edge matchmaking combined with client-side jitter compensation — to place players in matches that balance skill and network fairness. Developers can configure latency thresholds, regional preferences and platform parity settings without managing complex server fleets.

The service integrates with Unity, Unreal, and WebRTC-based engines and supports cross-play policies that let studios favor platform-native friends lists while maintaining fair matchmaking rules. ForgeArc also launched analytics for balancing match quality and player retention.

The company is opening early access to studios and promises flexible billing — per-match, per-player, or fixed seats — to accommodate indies and AA teams. ForgeArc’s goal is to reduce engineering time spent on matchmaking so studios can focus on gameplay.
