FrameAI raises $28M Series A to launch generative layout engine for product teams

FrameAI announced a $28 million Series A led by Meridian Capital with participation from DesignWorks Capital and several angel designers, earmarked to scale its newly launched LayoutFlow product. LayoutFlow converts plain-language briefs into high-fidelity, responsive compositions that respect a customer’s existing design tokens and component library.
The product integrates directly with Figma and Storybook, exporting editable frames and ready-to-use React components that preserve accessibility attributes and spacing rules. FrameAI emphasized that the engine is tuned to surface design-system-compliant patterns rather than free-form art direction, reducing the amount of cleanup required by design teams.
With the funding, FrameAI will expand its research team and build out enterprise features: team governance, version history for AI-generated changes, and on-premise model deployment for regulated customers. Early adopters include three mid-sized SaaS firms who report a 30–40% reduction in early-stage prototyping time.
