FrameForge announced a $20 million Series A led by PlayFoundry and launched Forge Market, a curated marketplace where indie developers can buy, sell, and license modular assets, scene templates, and monetizable game modes. The platform offers attribution and automated payout splits for collaborative asset creation.
The marketplace integrates with Unity and Unreal Engine workflows and includes previewing tools to ensure compatibility with common pipelines. Sellers can publish dynamic content that updates across buyer projects via a dependency management layer in the Forge SDK.
Part of the funding will build community moderation, quality assurance, and tools for ASSET creators to attach rules for usage and monetization. FrameForge says revenue-sharing and creator analytics are central features to help small studios monetize their work sustainably.
Indie studio leads highlighted the potential to reduce production times by leveraging modular templates and to create recurring revenue from reusable systems. FrameForge plans developer grants and a creator scholarship to onboard more asset makers into the marketplace.
