FrameLab Launches Real-Time Collaboration for 3D Artists, Raises $7M Seed
Design · 4 min read
FrameLab announced a $7 million seed round and the release of a real-time collaboration platform for 3D artists, enabling shared scene editing and live material baking.
The product synchronizes scene graph edits, camera placement, and shader parameters across distributed teams. Material baking occurs on dedicated GPU nodes, allowing artists to preview production lighting without waiting for local renders.
FrameLab integrates with common DCCs and game engines and tracks per-asset edit history, facilitating conflict resolution and attribution for credits. The platform emphasizes latency mitigation techniques for geographically distributed teams.
Funding will expand infrastructure, build plugin partnerships, and add enterprise features such as SSO, role-based access, and compliance for media companies.
