Frameless Studio launches AI-driven accessibility auditor for game HUDs
Gaming · 4 min read
Frameless Studio introduced an AI-driven accessibility auditor focused on game HUDs and in-game UI. The tool uses a combination of vision models and LLM-based heuristics to detect low-contrast elements, tiny hit targets, and timing issues that can cause usability problems in fast-paced games.
The auditor integrates as a plugin for Unity and Unreal Engine, scanning scenes and HUD canvases and producing prioritized remediation lists with code or layout suggestions. It can also simulate color-blind overlays and variable frame-rate interactions to test readability under different conditions.
Frameless Studio emphasized the tool’s utility for live-service titles where UI mistakes propagate quickly. The company offered desktop and cloud analysis modes and a report format designed to be actionable for both designers and programmers.
