Framer 2026 Introduces AI-Powered Interaction Designer and Code Export

Framer announced an AI Interaction Designer that listens to product prose—user stories or brief descriptions—and generates interaction timelines, easing transitions, and state-driven animations. Designers can tweak parameters like timing, easing, and accessibility cues via an inspector or by giving follow-up prompts.

The release also improves Framer's code export engine. The tool now outputs more idiomatic React Native and Flutter code, including state management hooks and navigation scaffolding, reducing the amount of manual rework developers must do after export.

Framer highlighted collaborative features: generated interactions are versioned in the project history, and teams can annotate auto-created animations to train workspace-level preferences. The update is live for teams on paid plans and includes a trial for individual creators.
