Framer's AI Motion Designer interprets behavioral descriptions—like 'hover to reveal details with subtle scale and shadow'—and generates a proposed timeline, keyframes, and easing curves. The tool places motion specs directly on components so engineers get ready-to-implement CSS or Lottie exports.

Designers can edit the generated curves, change durations, and preview interactions across devices. The system also suggests motion-accessibility fallbacks such as reduced-motion alternatives and prefers transforms over layout-thrashing properties.

Framer integrated the feature with design tokens and component libraries so motion patterns can be standardized across a product. The company says AI Motion Designer reduces handoffs by producing both visual specs and code snippets that align with the project's styling conventions.
