Framer adds AI-driven layout suggestions tuned for accessibility
Design · 3 min read
The feature analyzes a design in Framer and proposes alternate layouts that improve accessibility scores while preserving the original aesthetic. Designers can preview tradeoffs—such as increased spacing versus compactness—and accept suggestions selectively.
Each suggestion includes an explanation linking the change to specific WCAG criteria and device-agnostic heuristics, so teams can justify decisions to stakeholders. Framer also added an accessibility simulation overlay to preview keyboard navigation and screen-reader focus flows.
Framer’s product team emphasized the tool is meant to augment, not replace, manual accessibility testing, and they recommend designers validate suggestions with users. The update rolls out with templates tailored for common web and mobile patterns.
