Framer adds generative motion tools that export code-ready animations

Framer announced a generative motion tool that takes a static component and produces a library of coherent motion variants—entrances, micro-interactions, and state transitions—optimized for performance. Each generated animation exports to code (CSS keyframes, React Motion, and native animation APIs) with recommended easing curves and reduced runtime overhead.

The generator can be seeded with brand motion tokens so animations stay consistent with existing visual language. Framer includes a preview mode that simulates lower-powered devices to help designers choose animation options that remain performant on mid-tier hardware.

This update addresses a growing need for motion systems in product design, offering a shortcut from concept to production without manual keyframing. Framer says teams using the tool cut iteration time on micro-interactions by half in early trials.
