Framer integrates LLM-driven animation timelines and motion recipes

Framer announced a set of generative animation features that let designers describe interactions in natural language and receive parameterized timelines and easing curves. The system uses a specialized LLM to translate intent into keyframes and CSS motion code compatible with Framer's runtime.

Motion recipes are reusable presets that encapsulate both visual and interaction intent—things like 'on-press tactile bounce for card lists'—and can be shared across teams as tokens. The feature integrates with Framer's preview tools so designers can immediately fine-tune timing and physics parameters.

Framer also added collaborative notes tied to animations, letting PMs and engineers comment on motion decisions in context. The company says the move is aimed at reducing the gap between UX motion design and implementation, particularly for teams shipping dynamic interfaces.
