Framer introduces LiveBind: real-time AI prototyping with live data bindings

LiveBind lets designers map UI components to API endpoints and uses an embedded model to normalize responses, generate sample payloads, and recommend pagination and error states. Designers can preview interactions with live or simulated data and let the AI suggest sensible defaults for complex responses.

The tool also generates lightweight mocks for backend teams and exports a specification bundle that includes sample responses, schema assertions, and suggested test cases. Framer expects the feature to accelerate cross-functional collaboration and reduce back-and-forth around API shape assumptions.

Privacy and rate limits were front of mind: Framer runs data normalization locally where possible and offers masking controls for sensitive fields. The company is rolling LiveBind to paying teams and plans integrations with popular backend-as-a-service platforms.
