Framer launches AI Motion: automatic microinteraction generation from copy

With AI Motion, designers provide a textual direction like “gentle bounce on success” or upload a reference GIF; Framer generates keyframes, easing curves and triggers that can be played, edited, or exported. The company emphasized that generated motion is editable—every parameter is exposed for designers who want granular control.

The feature integrates with Framer’s prototyping environment and exports as Lottie or native Framer interactions. Framer also announced presets tuned for accessibility, such as reduced motion variants, and tooling to auto-generate alternative transitions for users who request motion reduction.

Early testers found that AI Motion speeds routine polish and helps non-motion designers create consistent interaction language. Framer will roll AI Motion into its core product and provide an API for agencies and plugin authors.
