Framer launches 'Motion AI' to auto-generate micro-interactions from intent

Designers type high-level intents like "soft bounce on hover" or "progressive reveal on scroll" and Motion AI produces keyframes, easing curves, and code snippets compatible with CSS, React, and Framer Motion. The assistant also suggests durations and accessibility-friendly reduced-motion fallbacks.

Generated interactions can be previewed live, tweaked via sliders, and exported as production assets. Motion AI supports tokens and design system integration, ensuring motion patterns remain consistent across components and pages.

Framer emphasized the accessibility focus: the assistant includes checks for motion-sensitive users and auto-generates reduced-motion alternatives. Motion specs include human-readable rationale to help engineers understand intent.

Users praised faster prototyping of polished interactions, though advanced animators requested more direct control over bezier parameters. Framer said power-user controls are coming in a minor release.
