Framer launches Prototype AI to convert Figma files into interactive, deployable prototypes

Framer announced Prototype AI, a new feature that imports Figma files and automatically generates interactive prototypes with responsive behavior, generated transitions, and simple state logic. The tool analyzes frames and components, maps them to Framer’s interaction system, and produces deployable prototypes with production hints.

Prototype AI can also synthesize user flows based on common UX patterns, generating navigation bars, modal behaviors, and form validation scaffolds. Developers can export the result as React code or publish it directly to a test URL for rapid user research sessions.

Framer emphasized the goal of shortening the loop between design validation and shipping by making prototypes that feel closer to final implementations. While hand-tuning is still necessary for complex interactions, teams reported substantial time savings for usability testing cycles.
