Framer launches RealMotion: AI micro-interactions and timeline composer
Design · 3 min read
RealMotion uses a motion-focused model to propose micro-interactions based on a component's role and intent. Designers can select a component and receive instant recommendations for hover, focus, and transition animations that respect platform conventions and accessibility thresholds.
The timeline composer helps stitch generative interactions into longer prototypes, suggesting sequence timing and event propagation between components. Framer's generator also offers variants optimized for mobile haptics, web performance, or cinematic polish.
Framer notes that RealMotion reduces the friction of creating motion systems for teams without animation specialists and provides editable keyframes so designers retain control. Exported code includes performance-minded options like CSS transitions or requestAnimationFrame-driven JS.
