Framer Motion adds AI-powered easing presets and timeline suggestions
Design · 3 min read
The new motion assistant inspects a project’s active transitions and suggests a library of easing presets and duration standards that align with the product’s rhythm. It can batch-apply these presets across components and produce a motion token library for reuse.
Designers can preview suggested changes and see a diff view that visualizes before-and-after motion behavior. The assistant also creates a documentation card per animation that includes purpose, recommended usage and developer-facing parameters to streamline handoff.
Framer Motion positioned this as a way to establish consistent motion systems across cross-functional teams, reducing subjective debates about timing by offering data-driven starting points. Teams can customize or lock rules to keep a consistent experience as products evolve.
