FrameShift raises $18M seed to build XR prototyping suite for architects

FrameShift's XR suite lets architects import BIM models, stitch real-world photogrammetry, and iterate lighting and material systems in VR and AR with multi-user sessions. The $18 million seed was led by Construct Capital and a group of strategic AEC firms.

Investors were attracted to FrameShift's focus on spatial collaboration and simulation fidelity, which it says shortens review cycles and reduces costly change orders during construction. The product includes a 'massing-to-material' workflow that connects conceptual models to buildable components.

The startup plans to offer studio licenses and an enterprise cloud that integrates with existing AEC asset libraries. FrameShift will also push deeper integrations with Revit, Rhino, and Unity-based visualization tools to smooth handoffs from design to documentation.
