FrameStack releases lightweight remote collaboration engine and raises $16M

FrameStack's remote collaboration engine synchronizes vector and raster edits using compact operational transforms and progressive asset streaming to keep sessions responsive even on constrained connections. Features include conflict resolution strategies, local undo histories, and per-layer presence indicators so teams can co-work without heavy sync overhead.

The $16 million seed round was co-led by Motion Ventures and Signal Partners. FrameStack will expand integrations with popular design tools and provide plugins that allow designers to invite collaborators directly from their existing workflows.

Designers working across time zones said FrameStack's approach could reduce friction and waiting times during critical reviews. The company also announced a free tier meant to onboard freelancers and small teams quickly.
