Glint launches 'ShaderLab' — AI-assisted shader editor for interactive designers

Glint's ShaderLab allows designers to describe visual effects in plain language or by sketching, then generates optimized shader code with adjustable parameters for performance and visual fidelity. The editor includes real-time previews across WebGL and native runtimes.

The product is aimed at teams building interactive websites, mobile apps, and in-app motion where bespoke visual effects are valuable. ShaderLab also provides presets for safe-for-work effects and accessibility-friendly configurations that preserve contrast and readability.

Glint plans to monetize ShaderLab through subscription tiers, team collaboration features, and export licenses for compiled shader binaries. The company emphasized workflow improvements: designers can hand off shader snippets with matching parameter tokens that correspond to design system values.

The launch is accompanied by an SDK and community gallery for sharing presets. Glint also announced an angel-led funding round to accelerate product development and platform integrations.
