Glyph AI raises $85M Series B to scale multimodal design assistant

San Francisco-based Glyph AI closed an $85 million Series B led by Ridgewood Ventures with participation from Sequoia Growth and several angel designers. The startup's flagship product, Glyph Studio, combines prompt-based image synthesis with vector export and design system-aware component generation.

The funding will be used to hire across the product and design orgs, accelerate integrations with popular design tools like Figma and Adobe, and launch a hosted model tuned for designers' asset pipelines. Glyph says it will also invest in accessibility tooling to make generated assets more inclusive by default.

Industry partners in the round include two major consumer brands that plan to pilot automated concept iterations. Glyph emphasizes that its roadmap focuses on semantic layer exports and versioned, editable generation rather than fully automated replacing of human designers, positioning itself as an augmentation platform.
