Glyph launches Typeface AI: automated variable font generator for UX teams
Design · 4 min read
Glyph’s Typeface AI generates variable font axes based on optical sizes, weight ranges, and micro-typographic adjustments tailored to brand tone. Designers provide constraints like x-height, stroke weight, and display vs body usage, and the system outputs a production-ready variable font package with hinted files for web and mobile.
The product integrates with design tools to preview responsive typography and exports design tokens for tokenized type scales. Glyph highlights built-in accessibility checks ensuring legibility at small sizes and contrast-aware metrics for UI contexts.
Glyph will offer enterprise licensing and a hosted font-serving CDN to handle licensing, subsetting, and fast delivery. The company says the approach reduces time designers spend coordinating with foundries and engineering on cross-platform typography consistency.
