GlyphAI debuts on-device multimodal model for creative teams

GlyphAI unveiled a compact multimodal model optimized for laptop and mobile inference, enabling text, image and video assistance without constant cloud calls. The launch is targeted at creative teams that need privacy-preserving, latency-sensitive tools for content ideation and iteration.

The company simultaneously announced a $30 million round led by Media Ventures and an enterprise-focused fund. GlyphAI says funding will expand compiler optimizations and partnerships with hardware vendors to accelerate on-device performance across Apple Silicon and the latest ARM laptops.

Product demos show tasks like fast storyboard generation, frame-level composition suggestions, and color palette extraction running locally. GlyphAI emphasizes offline collaboration—project files and history remain on devices by default, with optional encrypted sync.
