GlyphAI, a startup building compact multimodal AI for edge devices, closed a $120 million Series B led by Sequoia with participation from Founders Fund and Index. The funding will be used to ship a developer SDK and expand partnerships with handset makers in Asia and Europe.
The company also unveiled GlyphCore, a 1.8B-parameter model optimized for vision, text and audio that can run on modern mobile NPUs with no cloud dependency. Product demos showcased in-device image-to-text generation, voice-based UI overlays, and secure on-device personalization for app interfaces.
GlyphAI positions GlyphCore as a privacy-first alternative to cloud-only models, pitching lower latency and predictable costs for UX teams. The company plans to offer an enterprise subscription with device provisioning, security audits, and an SDK tailored to Figma and prototyping workflows.
