GlyphOS announced a $30 million Series A led by GV with participation from Founders Fund and LUMA Capital to develop an operating system tailored to mixed-reality devices. The OS emphasizes spatial UI patterns, persistent workspaces, and native support for high-fidelity input from stylus and hand-tracking.
The company opened a developer preview that includes a compositor optimized for multi-window spatial layouts, a unified file system for 2D and 3D assets, and APIs for haptics and shared sessions. GlyphOS says the platform is designed to integrate with existing creative tools and to reduce friction for porting desktop workflows.
GlyphOS also published a set of interaction guidelines and accessibility recommendations for spatial interfaces, encouraging designers to treat spatial depth, occlusion, and anchoring as core design primitives rather than afterthoughts.
