Google Gemini 1.5 Pro adds Figma-to-Gemini plugin for interactive prototypes

Gemini 1.5 Pro focuses on improving multimodal continuity and agent orchestration, and Google shipped a companion Figma plugin that converts frames into live, conversational prototypes. Designers can attach intents, example dialogs, and conditional behaviors to UI elements, enabling product teams to run interactive scenario testing without code.

The plugin supports component-level annotations — you can tag a button with a success/failure response and attach sample user utterances. Gemini’s agent then simulates flows, fills state transitions, and offers variant microcopy for different personas. Google says the tool accelerates stakeholder demos and usability testing by replacing static flows with plausible, on-the-fly interactions.

Privacy and data controls are emphasized: designers can opt to run inference in a private project environment or leverage ephemeral session tokens. The update targets product teams who want faster validation of conversational and multimodal features before committing engineering resources.
