Google Gemini Ultra adds temporal video understanding and a plug-in for Framer
Tech · 6 min read
Gemini Ultra, Google's high-capacity multimodal model, received an update that improves temporal reasoning across video frames. The model can now generate shot descriptions, suggest edits, and create keyframe-aware motion transitions for use in interactive prototypes.
Alongside the model update, Google released a Framer plug-in that converts annotated storyboards into interactive prototype layers, complete with suggested easing curves and audio alignment. The plug-in leverages Gemini Ultra to infer user intent from simple sketches and timed notes.
Google framed the release as a productivity boost for teams that build motion-first experiences, such as onboarding flows and micro-interactions. The company also announced tighter controls for managing video datasets to address privacy and copyright concerns when training temporal models.
