Google launches Bard+ Figma kit with automated alt-text, ARIA patterns and persona-aware copy suggestions

The Bard+ Figma kit bundles accessible components with ready-made ARIA annotations and keyboard interaction guidelines, plus a new plugin that uses Bard+ models to suggest alt text, accessible labels and voice instructions based on visible context. Designers can invoke the assistant on a selected frame and get multiple phrasing options tuned for different reading levels and neurodiversity-friendly language.

Google says the AI suggestions are accompanied by rationale snippets explaining choice of wording and recommended truncation rules for small screens. The kit also ships with interactive contrast simulators and a ‘Persona Mode’ that shows how copy and layout should adapt for users with low vision, dyslexia or cognitive processing differences. Teams can accept, modify or reject suggestions and the plugin tracks edits to help retrain on company tone.

Privacy and accuracy were emphasized: Bard+ processes visuals client-side where possible, and Google provides a moderation UI for teams to bulk-audit generated descriptions. While the kit is not a substitute for formal accessibility audits, Google positions it as a productivity multiplier for product designers aiming to bake inclusive authoring into early-stage work.
