Google Play Console adds UX quality metrics and crash heatmaps for designers

Google updated the Play Console to include UX-focused metrics such as time-to-interaction, first input delay per screen, and user journey completion funnels. These metrics are tied to annotated screenshots and session replays where permitted.
Crash heatmaps overlay error clusters onto app screens, revealing hotspots where multiple distinct errors or ANRs occur. Teams can filter by OS version, device family, and custom event tags to pinpoint high-value fixes.
The Play Console also added integrations with Firebase Performance and existing analytics, and offers a design report generator that turns raw metrics into prioritized UX recommendations. Google says the goal is to reduce the gap between telemetry and actionable design work.
