Google Play introduces staged A/B feature flags and live content experiments

Google Play's feature flag manager allows developers to toggle features per cohort, run server-side configuration experiments, and A/B test store-side content without redeploys. The system is integrated into Play Console with hooks for analytics and automated rollback on instability.
Designers and product teams can configure visual variants and measure engagement via Play's experiment dashboard, which now surfaces crash rates and key UX metrics side-by-side with conversion metrics. This tight feedback loop aims to reduce risk when testing major interface changes.
Play also introduced a UI diff viewer for store listings and in-app FCM toggles for instant config updates. Privacy-friendly sampling and hashed cohort controls are included to meet regional compliance requirements.
