Google Play now supports cloud-based game trials and subscription bundling

Cloud-based trials allow players to try a game streamed from Google’s infrastructure with no initial download; sessions can last from a few minutes to full-level trials depending on the developer’s configuration. Developers control trial length, capture goal events, and receive analytics on trial-to-purchase conversion.

Subscription bundling unifies multiple apps or games under a single subscription SKU, enabling cross-title entitlements and family sharing models. The Play Console supports revenue splits, metered entitlements, and trial synchronization across bundled apps.

Google also updated Play Billing to include more granular refund and proration rules for bundled offers and added a sandbox for testing cloud trial flows. Developers say the changes reduce friction for discovery and give better tools for lifecycle monetization.
