Google Play tightens quality thresholds for streamed games and introduces subscription bundling

To improve discoverability and user satisfaction, Google Play now enforces minimum frame-rate and latency targets for any games offering cloud streaming through the Play storefront. Publishers failing to meet thresholds will get temporary visibility limits and tooling to diagnose streaming bottlenecks.
Play also launched subscription bundling for publishers, enabling studios to offer cross-title passes and revenue sharing models within a single subscription SKU. The console includes analytics that forecast cannibalization risk and retention uplift for bundled offers.
Developers see the changes as a push to raise streaming standards, and smaller studios benefit from clearer guidance on technical requirements. For players, the aim is to reduce poor streaming experiences that harm long-term trust in cloud gaming.
