Google Research opens Gemini Ultra for design workflows with vector exports
Tech · 4 min read
Gemini Ultra now supports generation-to-export flows that produce SVG components, CSS rules, and annotated HTML snippets from design prompts or uploaded mockups. Google emphasized accurate typography mapping and semantic HTML scaffolding targeted at front-end engineers.
The model includes a “design fidelity” slider enabling outputs that range from exploratory sketches to production-conformant code. Gemini Ultra also integrates with Google Cloud Build so teams can trigger CI checks on generated components before merging into repositories.
Google published best-practice guides for converting model outputs into maintainable code and recommended guardrails to avoid brittle patterns. The company positioned Gemini Ultra as an assistive tool for designers and engineers, not a replacement for design systems.
