Haptix raises $14M to launch a low-latency haptic SDK for mobile games

Lead investor was MotionWave Capital with participation from mobile gaming studios. Haptix will use the funding to broaden device support, build visual authoring tools, and roll out analytics for haptic effectiveness in retention and engagement.

PulseSDK provides deterministic scheduling for haptic events, adaptive waveform translation for different actuators, and an editor for designers to compose tactile effects in a timeline alongside audio and animation cues. The company claims significantly reduced variance in vibration timing across Android and iOS devices.

Several mobile titles in beta reported improved immersion and player feedback metrics when using PulseSDK. Haptix is offering a free tier for indie developers and enterprise licensing for studios that require on-device telemetry and custom waveforms.
