Haptix Secures $9M Seed to Bring Ultra-Low-Latency Haptics SDK to Mobile Games

Haptix's seed round was led by PlayState Ventures and includes backing from several mobile game studios. The company focuses on middleware that translates in-game physics and audio cues into rich haptic patterns tailored to device actuators.

The SDK provides an editor for designers to craft haptic sequences, test them in-device, and A/B them across cohorts. Haptix also exposes performance metrics to help balance haptic richness against battery consumption.

Pilot partners reported improved player engagement and perceived polish in tests, particularly in racing and action titles where tactile feedback enhances immersion. Haptix stressed cross-device consistency and fallback strategies for older hardware.

With funding, Haptix will expand device compatibility, open an enterprise dashboard for remote tuning, and develop partnerships with engine vendors to simplify integration for large studios.
