Helio Robotics raises $80M to mass-produce assistive home robots and unveils 'Helio Home' prototype

Helio Robotics announced an $80 million Series B led by Evergreen Growth and revealed its Helio Home prototype, an assistive domestic robot that navigates home layouts, performs object retrieval, and assists with reminders and medication scheduling. The company emphasized modular hardware arms and swappable attachments to handle diverse tasks.

The funding will be used to set up a pilot manufacturing line and expand clinical partnerships with eldercare organizations. Helio said the robot will ship first to a set of pilot customers in late 2027 after regulatory and safety certification trials.

From a design perspective, Helio stressed an approachable, non-anthropomorphic form factor designed to reduce user anxiety. The companion app focuses on family-level permissions, UX flows for caregivers, and an audit trail aimed at compliance and trustworthiness.
