Helix Design Nets $8M Seed to Create Accessibility-First Component Library
Design · 3 min read
Helix Design’s mission is to make accessibility a first-class design decision by offering components that ship with semantic markup, ARIA patterns, and keyboard-first interactions out of the box. The seed funding will be used to expand component coverage and deliver automated accessibility audits for CI/CD pipelines.
The product roadmap includes a theming system that adapts to brand tokens while preserving contrast and focus styles, plus plugins for major design editors to preview accessible states. Early enterprise adopters noted that Helix reduces remediation time during accessibility audits.
Helix will also launch training and certification for design and engineering teams, aiming to embed accessibility best practices into design systems rather than treating them as an afterthought. The company plans to offer an open-source core library and paid enterprise extensions.
