Helix Robotics debuts assistive arm and secures $18M to target manufacturing UX

Helix Robotics launched the Helix Arm, a compact collaborative robot (cobot) designed for manual assembly lines and paired with an operator-facing tablet that visualizes tasks, safety zones, and contextual training. The announcement accompanies an $18 million Series A led by Foundry Capital.

The Helix Arm uses visual task prompts and step-by-step overlays to assist operators, reducing cognitive load and training time. The operator interface adapts to skill levels and provides instant feedback on motion safety, torque, and alignment tolerances.

Helix will use the funding to scale manufacturing, expand SDKs for custom tooling, and deploy pilot programs in electronics assembly and automotive components. The startup highlights a user-centered design approach and claims reduced repetitive strain injuries in pilot customers.
