Tech · 5 min read
HelixBio combines miniaturized sequencing modules with on-device ML pipelines to deliver targeted variant calls and pathogen detection in under an hour. The company’s vertical stack includes closed-loop sample prep cartridges and a cloud-hosted quality control dashboard for lab managers.
The new funds will expand manufacturing capacity and support regulatory filings in multiple jurisdictions. HelixBio is positioning its product for specialized clinical markets, such as infectious disease outbreaks and oncology companion diagnostics, where turnaround time matters.
Investors were attracted by the combination of hardware differentiation and software-led compliance. HelixBio plans to partner with regional diagnostic labs for pilot deployments and anticipates initial regulatory clearances within 18 months.
