HelixBio Raises $42M to Launch Wearable for Continuous Metabolic Monitoring
Tech · 6 min read
The HelixBand promises continuous readouts for proxies of metabolic state such as estimated blood glucose trends, lipid oxidation signals, and hydration markers using optical and impedance sensors. The device fuses sensor data with personalized models to offer actionable insights for nutrition and training.
HelixBio validated the technology in clinical pilots and says the band can detect relative trends that help with meal timing and recovery decisions. The company is positioning the product for athletes, clinical partners, and proactive consumers under physician supervision.
The $42 million round was led by HealthFoundry with strategic participation from a major sports apparel company. Funds will go to FDA pathway work, manufacturing scale, and launching a controlled early access program.
