HelixXR launches modular MR headset aimed at enterprise workflows

HelixXR revealed its first hardware product: a modular MR headset with swappable sensors and compute pods that let enterprises balance weight, battery life, and performance. The company positions the device as a work-focused alternative to consumer headsets, highlighting compatibility with CAD tools and remote expert guidance.

Alongside the headset, HelixXR launched a cloud spatial asset manager that stores 3D models, version history, and annotations. The platform integrates with common PLM and BIM systems, enabling designers and engineers to iterate in spatial context and carry metadata between the headset and desktop applications.

HelixXR is shipping a pilot program to manufacturing and construction partners, offering a developer SDK and plugins for leading design apps. The firm’s business model combines hardware sales with subscription fees for cloud services and priority support.
